the museum has no walls -- it's four villages
What you're coming to visit isn't behind glass cases. The Ecomuseu das Tradições do Xisto is based in Aigra Nova, but the museum is the whole set of four schist villages in Góis: Aigra Nova, Aigra Velha, Comareira and Pena. The landscape is the display.
The headquarters has the central nucleus. Around it, there's an environmental interpretation nucleus for the Serra da Lousã Natura 2000 network and a Tree Nursery where you can sponsor a native plant for reforestation. That's not symbolic: the plant actually goes into the ground.
Don't expect a quick visit because the museum is in the villages, and the villages are spread across the ridge. Start with Aigra Nova, then decide whether you want to head up to Aigra Velha at the top, where only one person lives.
