KrazyWorld Zoo

rescue zoo with a water slide and snakes in your lap

There isn't a single enclosure here. KrazyWorld is a mixed park where the zoo shares space with pools, treetop adventure, pedal karts, paintball and 18-hole mini-golf. The logic isn't to watch animals from behind glass: it's to interact with them.

The thing that sets KrazyWorld apart from most Algarve zoos is exactly that: you can hold a snake, step into the lemur space and sit on a pony all in the same day. The animals are mostly rescues, which gives the park a more concrete purpose than the usual tourist drive-by.

The place sits inland in the Silves municipality, away from the coastline and the bustle of Albufeira or Portimão. People who come on purpose know what they want; people who show up by accident are rarely tourists. That's the profile of a day here: family-oriented, unhurried, exploring in no particular order.

what you'll find

  • direct interaction with lemurs and snakes, included in the entry
  • pools with a slide in the same grounds as the zoo
  • pony rides and pedal karts for the younger ones
  • treetop adventure for those who need more adrenaline than a lemur can offer
  • paintball as a separate activity
